Speaking about what moves the world!

It’s money. And: courage.

The latter comes first. We can’t change the world for the better when we can’t master fears inside us. ⁣

For me, I faced my internal fears when I stepped on six stages of Science Slams in 2024. Speaking in front of >800 people in Stuttgart for the first time – and only slightly less people in Munich, Darmstadt, Friedrichshafen and Weingarten – was a huge step out of my comfort zone.

I spoke about the ‘bad’ power of banks and money and how we can transform it into a ‘good’ one for planetary health. ⁣No joke – unless you’re at a Science Slam…

My goal was to make the spectators realize: Everyone, like you and me, has the power for incredible change – e.g., by moving your bank account to a social bank with just a few clicks (read all in episode #12).

It turned out to be so much fun! ⁣

⁣Takeaways after:⁣

  • People don’t want to know first how to do things but why.⁣
  • Visualizing impact and making it less abstract is essential.⁣
  • Data must be put into perspective to make one understand.⁣
  • Impact investing is the next big thing to talk about.⁣

Can’t wait to improve what I learned and continue the journey!
